On Boxing day 1966 2 Troop 84 Squadron moved from Tenom in Sabah to the RAF base on Labuan Island. One of the problems encountered was moving the office vehicle due to difficult conditions including low bridges and lack of decent roads. In the end it was decided that the only way was by rail. Although the railway company was able to supply the flatbed there was no ramp to ease the loading. In the end the vehicle was driven onto the railway platform and with the aid of sleepers to bridge the gap it was eased onto the flatbed.
